Professor Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. Her name is well-known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and the use of child victimization in court. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive, she has received numerous grants and is the recipient of many honors international and national levels. She has advised many administrations and agencies across the globe on policies and research relating to child victims of the law by the system. She is currently a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She was a part of several professional associations, which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman was the President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
